For Information

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs) who consume FTTC (VDSL and Gfast), FTTP, LLU, SOGEA (VDSL and Gfast), SOTAP and WLR products.

Briefing GEN056/24 notified the changes that Openreach is making in support of One Touch Switch go-live, which remove Notification of Transfer (NoT+) consumer protections.

Ofcom has written to NoT+ providers asking us to delay the removal of NoT+ for a six-week period. As a result, we will not be switching on the following changes on 12 September 2024:

1.         Removal of Cancel Other on migration orders;

2.         Removal of the ten working day Minimum Lead Time (MLT) for migrations (to be replaced with new MLTs).

Updates have been made to the WLR, MPF and SMPF contracts in support of the above changes; the effective date of these updated contracts will be confirmed nearer to the date of NoT+ removal.

We have also notified the removal of the seven day rental liability charge for WLR standalone ceases; once this is removed, rental will be charged up to the termination date of the product. This change remains in EMP R5650 (14 September 2024).

This briefing supports ACCN OR933.
