copper products
We have two types of copper product: local loop unbundling (LLU) and wholesale line rental 3 (WLR3).
Local loop unbundling (LLU)
This gives you direct access to our copper cables, and lets you install your own equipment in and near to exchanges. That means you can connect your customers’ lines to your own network – so you can offer them similar options to WLR3.
Wholesale line rental 3 (WLR3)
This lets you offer your own-brand phone service on our network using our copper cables and networking equipment. We maintain the network so you can concentrate on providing services to your customers. We offer three WLR3 choices:
- WLR3 PSTN Basic and Premium (this is finishing at the end of 2025 and will affect some of our other products: see details and key dates)
- WLR3 ISDN2
- WLR3 ISDN30.
Using WLR3 means you agree to Ofcom’s general conditions of entitlement.
