Cablelink Service Connect
Cablelink Service Connect is an ancillary product allowing connecting between a CP licensed facility within an exchange to the next generation access (NGA) optical line termination (OLT) point in an exchange, ready for EAD2.0.
How it works
The product consists of two parts:
1) A “Core” cable. This is a multiple fibre cable connecting a CP licensed facility to an Openreach owned aggregation point (known as the “Cablelink ODF”)
2) Activated Fibre Pair(s). These are the active elements that create connectivity from a CP licensed facility to a port on the NGA headend
We offer the following options for the Core Cable:
12 Fibres – supporting up to 6 Activated Fibre Pairs
24 Fibres – supporting up to 12 Activated Fibre Pairs
48 Fibres – supporting up to 24 Activated Fibre Pairs
We offer the following fibre pair configuration for each activated fibre pair:
Support for EAD2.0 services
Maximum of 10G traffic capacity
Choice of Ether Type
We offer different termination options for the “Core” Cable:
Cable coiled above/next to the CP licenced facility
Spliced into Optional Optical Patching Shelf
