This briefing is to inform CPs about the launch of Multiport ONT for FTTP (including pricing). 

We are launching Multiport ONT for FTTP on 1 May 2024 at the following prices:

Multiport ONT is capable of supporting up to 4x FTTP services, each with a maximum download speed of 1000 Mbit/s, using a single fibre lead-in. The Multiport ONT is available as an optional add-on at the point of install when ordering a first Openreach FTTP service to an end customer, and will also serve as the default ONT for a specific list of premises types (see below for details). For second line installs where a single port ONT is present with an active Openreach FTTP service, Openreach will carry out a Box Swap to replace the single port ONT with a Multiport ONT to host both FTTP services.

Note:

• Multiport ONT will be the default ONT supplied for FTTP connections to premises that align to a specific list of Ordnance Survey site classifications:
  

• CPs have the option to override the use of a Multiport ONT on Box Swap via the Restrict Swap functionality which will require additional systems development to implement
• Multiport ONT for FTTP does not support 1200/120 Mbit/s and 1800/120 Mbit/s speeds
• Equinox connection discounts on Standard connection, where applicable, will apply to Multiport ONT first install
