NGA003/25 Bandwidth Modify price decrease for GEA-FTTC and SOGEA lines upgrading to 80/20Mb

This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to inform CPs of a Bandwidth Modify price change for GEA-FTTC and SOGEA lines upgrading to 80/20Mb. The price change will be effective as of 7 May 2025.

Openreach is announcing a price decrease to £0 for Bandwidth Modify on FTTC and SOGEA lines moving from lower speeds (18/2Mb, 40/2Mb, 40/10Mb and 55/10Mb) to 80/20Mb, effective from 7 May 2025. 

CPs will continue to be charged for any Bandwidth Modify and will then be rebated on a quarterly basis where applicable according to the below schedule:

April – June 1 August 
July-September 1 November
October-December 1 February 
January-March 1 May

Existing stop-sell rules for WLR and FTTP still apply, and Bandwidth Modify will continue to be unavailable in those scenarios – the stop-sell policies remain unchanged. More detail can be found in Stop Sell Regulations.

Bandwidth Modify only applies where the service stays with the same CP.
