This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing is to alert all SOGEA CPs that due to problems in supply-chain, Openreach do not have stock in hand of line isolation unit 12E that are required to be installed on hot sites. We therefore regretfully ask CPs not to send SOGEA provide orders into hot sites until further notice.

Due to issues in our supply chain, Openreach have a temporary stock shortage of SOGEA line isolation unit (LIU) 12E, which are required to be installed on hot sites. The issue has been resolved and additional stock is on order, however there will be a short delay until the new stock arrives (anticipated in early June).

All CPs with existing hot site orders in delay will have their orders processed once we receive stock of the LIUs.

In the interim, we ask all CPs to pause placing SOGEA provide orders into hot sites with immediate effect until we confirm the new stock has been received.

We will send a further briefing out when we have sufficiently replenished stock and are able to re-open SOGEA provisions orders into hot sites.
