This briefing is to inform all Communications Providers (CPs) about a 6-month waiver of the migration charge (currently £3.55) for migrations from FTTC+WLR to SOGEA for same CP migrations. This Special Offer will run from 14 September 2023 to 31 March 2024.

Openreach is introducing a Special Offer effective 14 September 2023 to 31 March 2024 to waive the migration/transfer charge of £3.55 on migrations from FTTC+WLR to SOGEA for orders placed during the Special Offer period for same CP migrations. 

The purpose of the offer is to support CPs further to move away from WLR before the closure of the PSTN in December 2025.

Openreach will no longer offer or support WLR products by the end of 2025.  Furthermore, under WLR Stop Sell all WLR products will be restricted for new supply from 5 September 2023. This special offer can be used in conjunction with the Bandwidth Modify Special Offer where CPs can migrate from FTTC+WLR to SOGEA and then upgrade their customers to a higher speed band, if required.

This Offer is open to all Communications Providers consuming SOGEA.

If CPs signed-up to the separate Equinox offer wish to exclude any orders placed for SOGEA from the calculation of Equinox performance under the existing Legacy Regrades process, they should ensure that they have signed the existing Legacy Regrades Supplemental Agreement and fulfil the terms set out within it.
