For information
This briefing is for all Communications Providers (CPs).
This briefing is to inform CPs about revised pricing being launched to support CPs placing new EAD, EAD Rugged, DFA, OSA and OSEA ('Ethernet') within 99 exiting exchange areas.
Openreach are launching revised pricing to support CPs in placing new EAD, EAD Rugged, DFA, OSA and OSEA ('Ethernet') within 99 exiting exchange areas to enduring exchange locations from 3 April 2024 until 31 March 2025. Circuits provisioned between these areas and the enduring exchange will be entitled to the equivalent pricing as they would be if provisioned to the exiting exchange (‘Local Access pricing’).
Our decision to launch revised pricing is intended to help all CPs provision circuits to enduring exchanges, limiting the volume of circuits within the 99 exiting exchanges that would subsequently need to be migrated to enduring exchanges.
Full details of the 99 closing exchanges, associated parents, and circuit eligibility criteria can be sourced from this briefing’s ACCN notification (below).
In the case of EAD and EAD Rugged, products which meets the ACCN’s eligibility criteria, will be charged according to Local Access variant rental pricing (zero main link).
In the case of DFA, OSA and OSEA, products which meets the ACCN’s eligibility criteria will not be charged main link rentals.
