Openreach is proposing to make a change to the EAD product description on 28 days’ notice in relation to working practices around Rapid Rearranges.

The current position is that if a circuit has been unusable since handover and not due to a CP issue, that it is dealt with by following the Rapid Re-arrange pocess.  Going forwards we are proposing that where the suspected cause of the issue following handover is caused by a faulty, incorrect or missing optic, that this should be submitted as a fault to be dealt with as a ‘repair’ and not a rapid re-arrange.
