ETH042/17 OSA FSP3000: Introduction of new wavelength card - 5WCA

06/12/2017    For Information

This briefing is for Ethernet Communications Providers (CPs).

This briefing notifies all existing and future CPs of the launch of a new wavelength card option within the Optical Spectrum Access (OSA) product set.

We're pleased to announce 28 days’ notification for the launch of the OSA 5WCA wavelength card. This new option will be available to select as a component for an OSA Bearer from 2 January 2018.

This card option supports up to 5 x 10G wavelengths and provides flexibility from one to five ports and as such can be used to future proof your expanding growth. Service and Interface details can be found in SIN489.

Updates will be made to the OSA product documentation in due course.

This filter option will be available to all CPs established for OSA and can be ordered in the same way as other wavelength filter options in the OSA portfolio.

All existing wavelength card options will remain unchanged. There will be no change to the existing OSA ordering and delivery process. Contact your Openreach sales specialist for further information.

This briefing supports ACCN OR523.
