This briefing is to inform CPs about the introduction of a special offer on 10Gb GEA FTTP and FTTX Cablelinks (10Gb Cablelinks) on qualifying Layer 2 Switches. This special offer will run from 1 December 2024 to 31 March 2026. 

Openreach is introducing a new special offer on GEA FTTP and FTTX 10Gb Cablelinks (10Gb Cablelinks) on Layer 2 Switches (L2S) older than 6 months (please see below for L2S eligibility).

The special offer will apply nationwide and will discount 10Gb Cablelinks purchased on older L2S (see table below for what qualifies a L2S as 'older’) to £399 where CPs have not previously purchased a 10Gb Cablelink on that L2S. The special offer will not be available on L2S that are at capacity.

This special offer may be used irrespective of whether a CP has signed-up to the Equinox offer. Notwithstanding the discounts in this offer that will automatically apply for any orders matching the conditions below, CPs that have signed-up to the Equinox offer will also continue to benefit from Equinox pricing for 10Gb Cablelinks.

Terms of the offer

• Price of FTTX and FTTP 10Gb Cablelinks will be reduced to £399 on older L2S where CPs have not previously purchased a 10Gb Cablelink on that L2S. A schedule of L2S eligible for the discount is as follows:

• This special offer will apply to all GEA FTTP and FTTX L2S nationwide except those provided in the exclusion list consisting of 10Gb Cablelinks which are at capacity (please see below). This list will be updated quarterly.
• This special offer may be used irrespective of whether a CP has signed-up to the Equinox offer.
• All orders of 10Gb Cablelinks must be placed and accepted by Openreach within the operative dates of the offer.
• The special offer will run from 1 December 2024 until 31 March 2026.
• Two rebates will be applied: (i) on 1 July 2025 for orders placed between 1 December 2024 – 1 April 2025; and (ii) and 1 July 2026 for all subsequent orders.

Openreach reserves the right to withdraw, extend, amend or limit this special offer on 28 calendar days’ notice.
