This briefing is for Ethernet Communications Providers (CPs).
This briefing notifies CPs of our launch of an EAD 1Gbps connection special offer in Gigabit Drop Zones
We're pleased to announce a special offer for 1Gbps EAD products in the Gigabit Drop Zone areas, commencing from 1 April 2020 until 31 March 2021.
Eligible products
The connection special offer will be applicable to new validated orders for the following EAD services, on either standard 12 month Minimum Period and 60 month Minimum Period:
- EAD 1Gbps
- EAD 1Gbps Resilient Option 1
- EAD Local Access 1Gbps
- EAD Local Access 1Gbps Resilient Option 1
- EAD Extended Reach 1Gbps
- EAD Extended Reach 1Gbps Resilient Option 1
The Minimum Period of any circuit that the CP elects to participate in the offer will be extended to 36 months. Should CPs cancel a circuit during this minimum period 100% of any outstanding rentals will be due.
Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria apply for an order to be eligible for the offer:
- The circuit must be in a Gigabit Drop Zone area. For details on how a circuit is determined to be within an eligible area see our Gigabit Drop Zone pagehttps://www.openreach.co.uk/orpg/home/products/flexzone/flexzone.do
- The order must be placed and accepted within the special offer period of 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021
- And the order must be notified to Openreach with 45 calendar days of order placement, this can be done via this link https://www.formwize.openreach.co.uk/run/survey3.cfm?idx=505d04080b0a0d0c (If you wish to submit in bulk please contact your business development manager)
Existing rental prices continue to apply.

Connection charges for the 60 month Minimum Period product are the same as above.
Notes
The offer will be fulfilled via a rebate. CPs will receive a rebate for any qualifying order once the order has been completed.
