Geographic Number Portability and Non-Geographic Number Portability.
This portfolio of services allows the end-user (a subscriber) of a number, taking a Publicly Available Telephone Service (PATS) to change their Communications Provider without changing their telephone number. BT currently only ports geographic and non geographic number(s).
The following services are currently available:
- Geographic Number Portability (01 & 02 Numbers)
- Non Geographic Number Portability (numbers starting 055, 056, 08 & 09)
Number Portability consists of three elements:
- Service Establishment
- Order Desk activities
- Service Maintenance (for GNP only)
