Street Access is ideal for customers who wish to deploy, for example, wireless networks in urban areas to offer the types of value-add services more commonly available at home or in the office. Street Access could also be used for many other applications that are based on Ethernet technology.
Introduction
The Street Access remote terminating unit (Network Terminating Equipment - NTE) has been designed to withstand a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions whilst being small enough to be installed in street cabinets or lamp posts in the street.
Once installed, a Communications Provider (CP) can connect its own active equipment to the NTE via an ethernet electrical interface.
