Street Access: Service Level Guarantees

This briefing on Street Access Service Level Guarantees is for Ethernet Communications Providers.

Openreach is pleased to confirm that Service Level Guarantees for the Street Access product will become effective on 1st May 2008.

Further to our earlier briefing (ETH010/08), Service Level Guarantees for both provision and repair will be introduced on the Street Access product.

Provision
If Openreach delivers a circuit beyond the agreed Contractual Delivery Date (CDD), then customers are eligible for compensation. This is offered in the form of a rebate for a percentage of the connection fee for the circuit.

Repair
Customers will be eligible for compensation if delayed repair to a circuit causes a total loss of service for more than 5 clock hours after it has been reported. This is offered in the form of a rebate for a percentage of the annual rental of the circuit.

Updated documents
Following a 90-day notification period as advised on 28th January 2008 (ETH010/08 ) the documents listed below will be re-issued on 1st May 2008 to include Service Level Guarantees:

  • Street Access Conditions
  • Street Access Schedule 4 – Service Level Agreement
