1.Can I ask for this information over the phone?
No. A system based on written requests and responses is essential to ensure that you know exactly where Openreach plant is located and are able to take account of this during excavation.
2.How can I check the progress of my enquiry?
If you need the information urgently, you can contact the Centre on 0800 800 865 on weekdays, between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. You can also fax or email your enquiry - contact details below.
3. What if I discover that Openreach Equipment will be in the way?
If you cannot work around it, we may need to move or divert some of our plant. In this instance, you should send a scale plan (1:500 minimum) and your proposals to the Repayment(Alterations/Roadworks) Planning Group for that area. If you do not know where this is, please telephone the Centre on 0800 800 865.
Note that CDNR orders will need to be referred to 150/152
4. Can I get location maps from the Internet?
Yes. The Maps by email service provides a password-controlled Internet service for frequent users and is now the recommended method for councils and utilities and other customers to establish the location of Openreach plant and equipment. This site is password protected. If you do not have access and would like to find out more, please see Maps by email Q&A.
