WLR011/12 Wholesale ISDN30 price changes

12/04/2012    For Information

This briefing on ISDN30 price changes is for all Communications Providers

The purpose of this brief is to outline price changes to Openreach Wholesale ISDN30 products.

Following Ofcom's publication of new charge controls for our Wholesale ISDN30 products, Openreach has today updated the prices for these products. In addition, we have updated a number of prices for other ISDN ancillary products. Communication Provider customers will experience an overall price reduction, although there have been some small price increases, in line with Ofcom’s statement. All price changes have been notified via the ACCN process and full detail at Pricing Notifications.

Changes will be implemented from 11 May 2012; in summary the changes are as follows:

  • Per channel rental: the main price change is a reduction in per channel rental prices.
  • Connection: the ISDN30 service has two connection prices; a “New Installation” charge and “Per Channel” charge. We have increased the “New Installation” charge, but we have balanced this with a larger decrease in the “Per Channel” charge. Overall the average connection price is to fall by approximately 15%.
  • Ancillary services and DDI: There are price changes to
    • ISDN ancillary products which support Wholesale ISDN30;
    • corresponding changes to three related ISDN2 DDI products; and
    • changes to Wholesale ISDN30 Enhanced Care product prices.

Full detail of all these price changes can be found in the supporting ACCN (Pricing Notifications).  If you would like to discuss them further, please speak to your sales or service contact.
