This briefing on the general contract review is for Generic Ethernet Access (GEA) Communications Providers.This briefing is formal notification to Communications Providers (CPs) of a change to the Generic Ethernet Access contract which is to introduce changes agreed by GEA CPs participating in the general review (the Contracts Group) and will come into effect on 8 June 2012.
Following discussion at the Contracts Group and the interim notification on 30 March 2012, Openreach is pleased to announce that some additional changes have now been agreed as part of the GEA general contract review and are highlighted in yellow on the relevant documents.
The interim notification is now withdrawn and is replaced by this document with an effective date of 8 June 2012 applied to all amendments.

Please note that the original text contemplated in the new Schedule 5 (GEA Service Tools & Maintenance) has been moved from Schedule 2B (Generic Ethernet Access over Fibre To The Cabinet (GEA-FTTC)) to create a new schedule. The issues number (version 2.1) reflects the fact that the text has been moved and not inserted as new text.
