05/04/2012 For Information
This briefing on weekend appointments is for all Communications Providers.
The purpose of this brief is to advise that free weekend appointments for both provision and repair jobs on Saturdays and Sundays have now been extendedIn previous briefing GEN019/12, we announced we would be extending the availability of free weekend appointments for both provision and repair until Sunday 1 April 2012, this briefing is to confirm that these arrangements have been extended.
As part of our ongoing commitment to reduce lead-times, Openreach would like to announce that we are continuing to waive additional charges for weekend appointments up to and including Sunday 29 April 2012.
Appointments that would normally incur a charge at the weekend (e.g. WLR3 Level 1 repair and PSTN provision appointments) will be offered free of charge on Saturdays and Sundays until the 29 April 2012 inclusive; appointments will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
This means you will be able to continue offering your customers greater flexibility in terms of booking appointments over the coming weeks.
If you have any questions about this brief or the processes involved, please speak to your service manager or sales contact.
