As part of our service, we will supply all the material items you need to build and install the Openreach network on your site free of charge. We'll also assign a dedicated Openreach new sites representative (NSR) to your development.
Your NSR will liaise with your construction workforce or site manager and make sure the correct stores items and quantities of materials are delivered direct to your site. They'll also tell you what method we will use to provide service to your site.
In general, if your development is in an area where an overhead network exists, then this will be the preferred method of delivering service. The same principle applies to underground areas.
However, if you request an underground service where an overhead service has been surveyed, your company will be invoiced for the costs of the additional survey time, stores delivery and work required to connect your duct to the Openreach network, as well as any other associated labour charges.
Material item quantities are normally supplied to keep pace with your build programme. However, if your project is a major undertaking and you have the necessary safe and secure storage facility, a bulk delivery of Openreach materials can also be arranged (please allow 10 days for delivery).
Please note that while the relevant Openreach materials are provided to you free of charge, the materials are provided for our own use only and should only be used for the purpose for which it is intended, i.e. to connect to the Openreach network infrastructure.
In the event that any Openreach stores items are lost, damaged or otherwise misused, your company will be charged for the cost of all replacements.
